Born and raised in the Caribbean, Chantal is a Toronto-based creator with a passion for storytelling.
Chantal’s love for content creation dates back to her tender years - she has always loved filming and editing videos for her friends and family. Therefore, she enrolled in the MFA Filmmaking program at the New York Film Academy where her passion for filmmaking matured. Her work inspires content that celebrates the diverse stories of Black and Queer people, instead of the homogenous story of pain and suffering. Her short dramedy “The Ex Factor” has been shown in various film festivals, including the Boston LGBT Film Festival and the California Women’s Film Festival.
When she's not writing, Chantal enjoys trying every Caribbean restaurant in the city, and spending way too much time scrolling through TikTok.
